The fear of starting something from scratch is what blocks a lot of people from doing what they want, challenging what they always believed is their “capacity”. We (Creatives) broke through those barriers because we knew and believed that whatever the system may portray, we will surpass it. Strength and energy may have carried us most of our way but passion burned us to continue because we have a vision, just how Buntu Amazah puts it: “No one teaches you how, passion burns you to” and that has been our motto. When challenges came, oh and they did come, praying and always remembering the people who believed in us from day one, pushed us further. Being surrounded by individuals who are proactive made everything better and bearable.

 

Thank you to our features, Kwena, Emely, Barney, Xolani, Mo, Sinazo and Glen for sharing your ART with the HeArt. That meant you were one of the first beings who believed in us not knowing the objectives but you took a leap of faith, CAMAGU KUNI.

 

HeArt is a title that confuses many of you but I hope this clears that off. The tittle of this magazine defines the linkage of human beings and creativity: we are nothing without ART and ART is nothing without us.

 

HeArt magazine is an online digital magazine. It concertrates on urban culture, how we share our cultures among each other within small spaces but making sure that we do not step on anyone’s toes by disrespecting or disregarding their ethnicity. We are working towards that intercultural active society.
